From Paris to The Netherlands

China has been being one of the hottest topics since 3 years , ' world factory ' , ' consistant GDP growth at 9%' , GDP per capital catched ' 6000 USD ( do remember we have 1.3billion population ) , no to mention the worldwide boom to learn chinese , the ' everybody wanna discover and understand chinese 5000-years culture thing , which me , as a Chinese , can't understand even just a small portion of which ...

It's said that China would catch up the states in 10 years , that China is being really rich , here we mean East coast of China ... It's said that China is still poor , a great percentage of population are still lack of basic living necessities , not readily water , never seen TV in their lives etc , here we talk about West of China where the majority are farmers ...

One of my finance prof has asked me before ' why don't they go on strike , or make another civil war to change their situation ? ' ' why they accepted to stay like this ? it's so unfair ... ' Well , I kept silent and laughed ... People usually know how to say ' no' when they know the differences btw 'yes' and ' no' , I'm not discriminating anyone , but for most of them who still have Mao's pic on , who never know what the life is like behind their mountains , who even don't have ' strike ' in their vocabulary ... ' so there's TWO ChinaS ? ' -- Well , I might say ' yes ' , for a country who wanna take 30 years to make up the losses made by arrogant ' self-satisfied policy ' 100 years ago , to make up the harshest losses made by our Civil War , well , we need Two or even Three China , the balance would be found , however , not for the time being ... ' If you go to the west , will they consider you as a chinese then ? ' -- that's actually a good point , well , ' for the dress I'm taking , maybe not , yet for the language I speak, I would let them know we actually are from the same origine , our ansiens were probably living in the same village , then the immigrantation happened , we split up... But there's something we have in common , I could promise by my family name with , that we all love our country , we are proud of being a tiny portion of this country with 5000 years' amazing history , of the chinese passport we're holding ... I was always asked by people around since years that " why don't you ask for another nationality " -- to me , I have only one question mark ' Why should I ??? ' To me , changing nationality for unnecessary reason is like abandonning your kids or quitting your family , me , to be honest , don't see there's any bad points to be a chinese ...

Being a Chinese in France , like in any foreign country in the world , I was ' confronted ' by the question of ' staying ' or ' leaving ' after your study ... I remember years ago , once , a friend of mine told me that if you wanna stay , you should work on your language and your skills and get a company who wants you even before your graduation ... I didn'r say anything , or I couldn't at the time being for I was still a kid partying and having fun ... 2 years later , now , I luckly got my job , and the chance to ' stay ' , I cherish what I have , but clearly , France is a short plan , yet China is a long one , France is a ' hotel' I stayed for a while , China is my home rooted in mind , and it you ask me the choice btw ' french ' and ' chinese ' , no way to compromise , I'm a chinese , and that's where my 'root ' came from , and where it should go ...

'I could dance with you only if you kiss the guy over there ' , no surprise , i was mean when i said that to a guy who just wanna have a dance ...



It's been one year , I never go out for a party for a whole year , too busy , too lazy to dress up , make up stuff , I'd rather staying home with my puzzles , my sudoku game , my silly TV show , my 'depressed books ' , the only reason I hang out this passing saturday night is my boyfriend was not in town , he was in the country , and my friend just called and insisted ...



I met my friend and two other new polish girls , pretty blondS ... We headed to a bar where Alexia supposed she could got someone interesting ... Not exaggerating , two minutes after sitting down , she's found her candidate , a french with nice shape , the following one hour , he was her main topic which just bored me easily , there must be a ' terminal ' I mean, and that's the reason I went to him and ask ' do you like guys or girls ' he found me rather ' bizzard ' suppose , ' girls ' ' okay , my friend over there finds you cute , do you wanna have a talk with her ? ' it definitely shocked this french , I believe , ' so you don't find me cute ' , he played a trick , ' if you won't be mad at me , be honest , you're not my type ' ' she's not my type then ' --- I went back to Alexia , minutes after , she found her new candidate , what can I say , sometimes girls just wanna have fun ...



Girls' talk went on , rather modern european girls , I'm too chinese , I admit ... Another french has been self-dancing in front of our table for like a half hour , I called it self-dancing because it was not a bar which supposed to dance in ... my friend had told me that we gonna go home early , then I figured out that was early in the morning which they meant ... It' s been Xth time he was asking for a dance , sometimes french seems don't understand when ' NO'=yes, when it's just a true NO , then I decided to play it BIGGER , that's why you found the situation in the openning , I nepver believe he really went to the guy and asked for a kiss , neither the guy would got mad and they seemed having some 'discussion ' or ' arguments ' , sometimes people are just insane , it happens ... The barmaid came and told us it might start a fight , I decided that was the time to leave , 3 o'clock in the morning , party over for me ...



I called a cab , my friends continued their fun ...



Four o'clock , they called while I was taking my sleeping tea and checking out my report for the coming monday ... And also convinced me once more , party is just not my thing anymore ...

It's a tough article to be written , it sucks ... I've no idea how to tell him the only thing occured to my mind when I read this title is ' Do you think I'm a typical Chinese ??? '

When Chinese are stuggling for yearly GDP growth at a consistant 9% , French are ruining their minds to keep their unemployment under 10% ; When Chinese are working 12 hours per day to prove what real life is , French are striking for 35 working hours per week ; When Chinese are trying hard to master this great foreign language , French are falling alseep in front of BBC english channel ...

I'm not against french , if you do understand what I'm talking about here , I actually love this country , love Paris , love French , I meant, the language :) Being a Chinese , living in France , I don't get it : Why french government should sacrify the middle-class's fortune to 'support' lower-working class , be precise , 80% of them are just lazy ; Why millions of non-skilled work force could still have jobs and stinked to the job 'forever ' ; Why you get a large portion of young population could live 24/24H in front of TV football , then you get everyday people in subway asking for easy money; Why there's people who seem having 48hours per day , then they could just spend 2 enjoyable hours for a cup of cafe au lait ...

I don't like French , here I mean a portion of the culture ...I've tried hard to understand french ' relax , we get one life only , who knows tomorrow ... ' way of life , also tried hard to figure out this country which created an architecture legend just having 'hunderds of years' for their CDG airport construction whose terminal 2 just went collapse the year after its foundation ceremony ; don't understand why this country could relate everything and that is really EVERYTHING to sex , that seems to me that that's the only thing they could sell , and believe me , usually at a cheap price ; don't understand how the education system could 'donate ' master degree to someone who even don't know how to use Microsoft excel or let's be nice , powerpoint ; don't understand how come 44/84 college students just go for a strike against new CPE contract , to me , that's actually a great move for french to create new jobs and competition ; don't understand with 3% inflation rate and 2% raise in national salary , did people notice they might need to work harder not playing harder for the time being ...

I love french , here , I mean people . I love french not as cold as german , not as loud as amercian , not as over romantic as latino, not as serious as asian ... I love french who exactly know when to give flowers and where we should take dinner together , I love french sending u home asking for coffee ' chez toi ' but never just come for a cappucino , I love french who get loads of nicknames for their partners which just surprised me that how much they love pets :) I love french who's sensitive for whatever their partners' saying , then been freaked out for nothing , I love french who always take me to Monmartre church pointing out where my apt is ... I do love here , I do love this country where I've learnt life is something you've to deal with by yourself , where I started my second page of life , be an adult ...

Ingres' expohisition is on in Louvre for months, I've got a luck to have a visit , a pioneer in neo-classical movement of the 19century .

Ingres was a sensitive and painstaking draftsman , which I've read from his 8 portraits for his wife , for Ingres , drawing was the very heart of painting , and he drew and redrew whatever he was to paint till he understood all . The gestures of women category tells the artist asked his audiences to read what the eyes' speaking , from which , I've read arrogance , proud , lost , tired , bored ...

' The turkey bath' impressed me a lot , the naked bodies , artic not eronic , warm environment , calm and relax ,created at 82 years old age , me and my boyfriend both agreed that's somehow telling the artist is having enough the tiring life after experiencing french revolusion , and also at the sunset of his life ...

The one I like the most is ' the source ', for some unreasonable reasons , this painting just have a sense of nature beauty , the warter pours ' smooth ' as textile , it reminds me of my astro ' aqua' , named the most intelligent constellation among the 12 which I always feel proud of ...

Thsi museum trip finished nicely by the bookmark he chose for me , I like it a lot , for no reason , I suddently felt I'm such a baby spoiled by him , and I just like this feeling that much ...
